What would it cost to deport 12 million people?

What is the average cost of deportation proceedings against an undocumented alien? Multiply that cost by 12 million: What would that do to the federal deficit?

Update:

Sorry: no best answer. My point was that the cost would be in the billions and would do more harm to the American economy than good. We need a better solution.

It would cost the USA a fortune to deport 12 million illegal immigrants. Its never going to happen. All we have to do is NOT give illegal Mexicans any jobs, welfare, citizenship, and driver licenses.

If they are the 23% who vote Republican despite the facts, whatever the cost I'll pay it and commit my children to it as well. It will save them so much in the long run.

Crackdown on businesses that employ illegals and deportation will not be necessary.

It would be much cheaper to round them up and kick them the hell out than it would to subsidize their lives, and the lives of their HUGE families, for the rest of their lives, wouldn't it?

There's no way of knowing how much it would cost per person to kick them out, but figure this: Their own President doesn't want them back! He would rather them leech off of us and not him.

12million times 300 in just airline tickets alone.
