Why do people hate kobe bryant?

because... they do.

Bryant was involved in an 'incident" in CO in which, at the least, he used very poor judgment and demonstrated himself to be a self-centered goon. At worst, his is a rapist.

Compare to the way the NFL handles these situations. If Bryant had been a football player he would have been suspended. the NBA hushed up the incident and makes sure that sports commentators do not mention the event. The Lakers made him the face of the franchise, all for money.

I will not pay one dime to see this thug play basketball nor will I watch the team play on TV. Until Bryant is out of the league, Stern is simply money-grubbing scum and Bryant a criminal.

Because he is great and gives people reasons to hate him at times. The whole thing with him pushing Shaq out of LA and the rape charge give people reason to hate him.

I think it was completely justified to trade shaq as he was out of shape every season plus with lakers he would never play the side-kick role as he did with wade in miami.

Also, the media seems to compare him to Jordan all the time and die hard jordan fans will never accept that and hate him for that.

Then there are Lebron fans who just hate him cause he is winning championships while LJ is busy chasing new contract.

All Celtics fans hate every laker superstar.

If he was the best player in the league, then why didn't he win the MVP the last two years. Oh , that's because LeBron seems to be the best. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have Kobe on my team. People hate Kobe, and I do sometimes, because of his arrogance, But I get over it and once again love him. I wish he could be more like Derrick Rose. Rose has so much respect for the game and every player in the NBA. Rose is the true definition of how an NBA player should act.

same reason why people hate tom brady and derek jeter because they win! i like all three guys because they are hardworkers and the best at what they do! they come in every season with one thing on their minds and it isn't the pro bowl or the all star game.... it's getting another title and i like that:) you would think people would learn to stop doubting them because it only makes them bitter and more driven and they go on to win yet another title lol! you can add david ortiz to that list too!

Kobe is the best

To be fair the guy sells the most NBA jerseys in the WORLD. Haters on the internet probably don't bother him. Worldwide his fan base is enormous!!!

As hard as it is for you people (fans who think Kobe is hated by nearly everyone) to understand, most people do not hate Kobe. Most people hate the fans that overrate Kobe and make him out to be better than he is.

Because he is not the messiah of the basketball court that people make him out to be

Because

A. They are jealous.

B. They like someone else and don't want anyone to steal that players spotlight

or C. They still arent over the 'rape' scandal

some people think hes too good so they say hes overrated
