How to remove tar from sneakers?
So the plebs who work in NYC department that fixes streets neglected to put a cone for us pedestrians, which means I walked into a patch of fresh tar. Sure, I was watching where I was going, but sometimes people step in dog poo too, ya dig?
Anyway, now I've got this tar stain on the front of my sneaks. They're white too, so they're kinda ruined unless I can remove this swirl of tar on my toes. Anyone have any idea how I can fix the duds for my feet?
Thanks in advance!

tar wont come off clothing or shoes.
i got it on my pants one time and washed them about 10 times and it didnt come off.
i asked my step dad,who is a general contractor and knows about this stuff, and hes told me that it'll come off ur skin with gasoline, so maybe try gas??
like soak them in it the run them through the washer with a heavy scented soap to get the gas smell away...

I'm not 100% sure this will work, but anyone that has a child old enough to hold a crayon, needs to have a can of OOPS in the house until that child is 18 and gone.LOL. No, really this stuff is great. Wish I'd know about it when my kids were little. I had to wait until I had great-grandkids before I discovered it. I haven't found anything yet it doesn't attack. You buy it at Wal-Mart in the paint section. It comes in an spray can or a pint of liquid which is what I buy. I just pour it into an empty spray bottle I have lying around/label it and ready to go. Spray that little shoe, (have a toothbrush handy) with OOPS, get the tar soft, gently remove it with a paper towel, then spray again, work it in with the toothbrush just for a few minutes, dab with paper towel, kinda pulling at the tar at the same time. Take a wet, soapy cloth and clean 'er up. Should do it. If all else fails, it should at least get enough off, take a pink marks a lot and cover it up. Only u will know:)
