Good MMORPG or MMO games?

What are some good MMORPG or MMO games other than Runescape? I would like some unique ones with fun gameplay and not a grind fest.

HAHAHA I thought you were joking there for a second...

Right now, there are just not many good MMORPG's out there, I have tried a few but they are so tedious and uninformative of what the goal of it is (like the endgame stuff, the things you want to do so badly while leveling) that you just don't get into it. Most of the communities will either be little brats, or older people who use harsher language. I looked at that link the person above me gave and that looks pretty nice.

As for paid, WoW is okay I guess, it just has gone downhill after some years of the same old get to the highest level and sit around a city waiting for a raid on so and so and get a sweet sword that will be immediately outdated in the next expansion, and then go up another few levels to repeat the process. Most MMORPG's just don't have that sparkle that they used too, they've become old and predictable.

It is really hard to recommend a specific MMO game, because everyone likes something different. A game I like you may hate. Check out http://mmohut.com/ for a gigantic list of these free mmorpg / mmo games. I use that site to find new games to play. Every few days I try a new game :) - It's a lot of fun because I try everything. They have like every single MMORPG categorized nicely with reviews, screenshots, videos and more. Heck they even list the game's system requirements!. Best part is all the games are free, which rocks.

They have a huge section for "no download" browser MMORPGs as well.

Let me know if this helped at all.

The 2 games I'll mention are not MMORPG's or MMO's, though they have an online mode.

    Anyway...

Definitely play AssaultCube. It's a completely free online first-person shooter that is similar to Counter-Strike, but better, because it has different variety of modes like, CTF, DeathMatch and more, unlike CS. It's really fun, has 40MB of space, is really fast and it has a decent number of players.

    ----------

Or you could try Sonic Robo Blast 2, this game is an adventure game based on Sonic The Hedgehog that has both a single-player mode, just like every other Sonic game, and a really fun and awesome online/split-screen multi-player mode.

If you have SRB2, always keep this game updated to the latest version so you can play online matches more easier.

Oblivion, Maple Story, World of Warcraft, GUN, Fable Series, Starcraft, Gunz, A Pure Bulletin, Final Fantasy.

Should be a good selection. RuneScape got boring? Not the first time THAT'S happened to some one.
