Ramadan: Would an atheist still be an atheist if....?

Would and atheist still be an atheist if God was right in front of them? Or would they still argue and try to deny his existence even though they have proof?

Just a random thought.

Update:

But then again, if an Atheist claims to not believe in God until he has proof, then he would be an agnostic.

They don't even need to see God. Once death is upon them, they will know.

“Then the Angel of Death takes hold of the soul. When he has grasped it, the other angels do not leave it in his hand even for the twinkling of an eye. They take it and wrap it in the rough hair-cloth and a stench emanates from it like that of the most evil smelling corpse on the face of the earth.” [Ar-Ruh: The Soul’s Journey after Death, by Imam Ibn Al Qayyim Al Jauziah]

May Allah, The Most Merciful guide them.

    Salam.

If God was right in front of me, and I could be sure it's actually God, I'd be happy to believe in him. However, that isn't going to happen, since he doesn't exist. That's why I'm an atheist, not an agnostic.

i'm an atheist, married to a Muslim, and with Muslim little ones. My husband and the two older little ones are fasting. I attempt to no longer eat in front of them, and help to coach iftar (the meal with which they ruin their fasts). i think of it quite is stable for them. It takes fairly some discipline, and that all of them drop extra pounds, each and every 300 and sixty 5 days, for the period of Ramadan. they have some greater desirable weight to lose, they do no longer look to be beginning out overly skinny from the beginning up, and purely isn't while it quite is over. i could evaluate fasting, too, yet i'm able to't via fact i'm diabetic and purely can no longer bypass 14 hours without eating. Islam forbids fasting for human beings whom could be adversely laid low with it (ill, diabetic, etc.).

Was there not proof? They mocked Prophet Muhammad (saw) and called him names, they asked for miracles, he spilt the moon in half (by Allah (swt)'s will) , they still didn't believe- Read Surah Al Qamar..

There is proof around us everywhere, just look around you, you may not see God, but you can surely see His work.

If Allah (swt) does not want a person to be guided then they will not be guided.

Trust me a hypocrite is a hypocrite.

“Verily, proofs have come to you from your Lord, so whosoever sees, will do so for (the good of) his ownself, and whosoever blinds himself, will do so to his own harm, and I (Muhammad) am not a watcher over you”[al-An’aam 6:104]

Besides why would Allah (swt) come right infront of a thing that denies its creator? LOL, in their dreams!

May Allah (swt) guide us all to the straight path.

Even if he Saw God, he want believe in him.

An atheist want to live his life for his own wants and lust, Believing In God prevents that.

As an atheist I would be very suspicious of any creature standing in front of me claiming to be "god." Even if this creature could demonstrate very amazing powers, my suspicion might be that this creature was "alien" but not necessarily "god."

If an alien stood in front of you believers and said he was god, you people wouldn't know the difference! How could you? You never challenge anything about your faith or beliefs! He would certainly appear to you in the image that you imagine your god to be! Suppose there were a powerful alien who knew our myths and wished to deceive, what better way to deceive but to pretend to be the fulfillment of our religious myths?

That day will come soon inshallah. I am sure the atheist will try to copy muslims when the muslims will be in sajdah, but allah (swt) wouldn't give athiest the power to perform sajdah to him (swt).

No atheist will not be an atheist any more (if such incident happens). They would become believers

  • 1 decade ago

    yes they would.

a person who does not want to believe will not believe what ever proof their might be.
