What is under the 3rd or 4th bottom right rib area other than the gall bladder?

This burning pain is not near the back but under the ribs closer to the front. I already had the gall bladder out!

    moondrop000,

It is difficult to answer without examination. Pain in the right upper quadrant can be caused by the liver or gallbladder. As you state that you no longer have a gall bladder, it may be caused by your liver which is located in that area. It could be inflamed due to various reasons which include being a heavy drinker or have taken a lot of tylenol based medications lately. An ultrasound should be done as an initial evaluation of the liver, if this is a symptom that has lasted for a fairly lengthy period of time. Once these diseases have been ruled out, you can consider an upper GI series or upper endoscopy to evaluate for upper GI tract abnormalities (i.e. inflammation or an ulcer).
