"Soccer" or "football" by the BBC in Britain?

On the BBC World broadcasts and reports on the USA's NPR network most of the time, but not universally, the game being played for the World Cup is called soccer instead of footbll. Is the BBC

only doing this on its brodcasts for the USA? Are they also using the term "soccer" in its domestic broadcasts in Great Britain?

I've never heard British speaking persons talk about "football", only soccer. So I think that they use the term wherever they are..
