What do you think of the name Sylvie?

Sylvie is really weird and all....maybe as a nickname for Sylvia. Slyvia is a much nicer name...Sylvia Claire sounds nice. Sylvia Josephine is too long, I'd recommend you find something else. I actually think it'd be kind of cool to have the name Josephine...it's really old-fashioned and fancy but there are a lot of cute, modern nickames you can get from it. What about Sylvia Jo? or Sylvia Joan?

I LOVE Sylvie! It's on my favorites list, but as Sylvia with the nickname Sylvie. I also slightly prefer Sylvie, but I feel like it's too much of a nickname and if I were to use it, my daughter might like having the formality of Sylvia for when she's older. Sylvie Claire is cute and I like it, but I think Sylvia Claire adds a little more sophistication. Many people go by their nicknames almost exclusively, including myself. It doesn't mean I wish my birth name was my nickname because it's just not as professional. I like having a more relaxed name to go by with my friends and family while having a "nicer" version of my name for work purposes.

Sylvie is a nickname and sounds like it. When is Sylvie not a nickname for Sylvia? Regardless I don't like either name at all. It is not b/c it is old fashioned, I just think it's terribly ugly.

As far as the middle names go, Clara is a 3/10 name for me, always makes me think of a cow like Clara Bell and Josephine is one of the ugliest names ever IMO.

I'm not a fan of Sylvie. It sounds too nickname-ish. I do love Clara Josephine though. Very classy and beautiful.

well i dont really like Sylvie.. it sounds too much like just a nickname.. but Sylvia is so cute! and its not used alot! i have one friend named Sylvia and everyone thinks her name is so cute and cool! Sylvia Josephine is a beautiful name!! :) sooo pretty!
