How do I connect my son's DS to the WII so he can play his DS games on tv?

Sorry, that's not possible. Only a very FEW amount of games have the option of using the DS WITH the Nintendo Wii, but not like that. Also, you can use the Nintendo Channel to download DS demos to your DS, but nothing more.
You can not connect the DS to the Nintendo and play your games on the TV.
The DS is a portable system, Nintendo simply doesn't see the need behind having it play on TV when you could just as easily buy their other product - a Wii.

You can't do that
