The entire world was colonized by Europeans?

Why are Sub Saharan African countries the only former colonies that are unable to provide themselves a stable food source and have famines regularly.

I would say two reasons: a lack of freedom and the culture. Let's start with freedom. If you are allowed to produce as much as you want and sell as much as you want at any price, you will, and so will most people. This results in abundance, and abundance results in lower prices. If you look at Hong Kong, which is still economically very free, the production and sales from that tiny bit of land is tremendous. Africa is ruled by dictators, and there is little semblance of a free economy. If an African wants to produce, he or she will have to bribe politicians, bribe gang leaders, and protect the products from crime. The strong prevail, and they take from the weak.

Culture is the second aspect. I've traveled all over, but never to Africa, and I can tell you that many traits we Americans consider normal are rare. Planning, optimizing, growing, and objective decision making don't occur in many places. The European Age of Enlightenment changed thinking toward rationalism. With this mindset, tribalism, spiritualism, and even tradition don't matter. Africans are very traditional, as are all people who originated from tribal societies, and change is often viewed as breaking with tradition.

I had a professor many years ago who said that Americans are a curiosity in the world because our natural instinct when we see a problem is to fix it. Most cultures ask "How can I endure it?" After I began to travel to Latin America, it was clear what he meant. There is a good book on this subject called "Culture Matters." It was written by various academics who analyzed the effect culture has on a country.

Here's a racial idea... Because they didn't want to colonize China and their goal was only to trade with China on equal terms and build up there areas around the major ports. However, when the Europeans colonised the USA, Africa and India they were not in an unified state and they consisted of tribe-like states so-wherefore fair game, much alike to Han colonisation in ancient times. European colonialism in the end united Northern America and India as a whole, rather than have hundreds of tribes with no hope of modernising. However, China was to a point a united state, although they could had been easily beaten, the European powers at the time just wanted to trade with them. They could had beaten and took over Japan too but ended up trading after a bout of gunship diplomacy.

Au contraire, my anthropologically-misinformed friend....since Southern Africa is the birthplace of humankind, the entire world was colonized by Africans...

Because it's too dry and warm there for them to do agriculture and there are mean rich people that take on the little fertile ground they have.

The resources are very minimal & the land is overpopulated. Every time we send 'aid' we make the problem worse.

I think you are right, there is a lot of blood on their hands. I would add they are racist pigs. They complain and fight with each other constantly. Europe is the world's filthy garbage.
