How long before I can quit my job but still get paid?
I've been at my job since tuesday (its now saturday) but I just cant stand it anymore. If I quit now I wont need to give any notice, I can just leave, but will I still get paid? I've worked 5 full days, but its just not a good job, I cant stand it. Any help anyone?

Legally, they have to pay you for the hours worked. You should give a day or two notice so they can schedule someone to replace you so they won't be short of help.

If it were me I would begin looking for a new job immediately, and as soon as you find one, give your current employer your resignation. Be totally honest with them and tell them that you feel that the restaurant is overstaffed. If possible, try to keep a log of how many tables you get per shift, just so you can give them examples, because if they don't know where they are going wrong, they can never improve, and after you leave, they may well employ another server to replace you, and that person will have to go through the same lack of work that you are currently. Future employers probably will ask why you left so soon, but it is perfectly fine to tell them that you weren't making money - explain the situation to them and tell them that you were struggling to make ends meet, and while you love the job, you have no choice but to look elsewhere. Don't worry about your friend, if she works there, she will understand how hard it is.

If you haven't you should sign up for direct deposit, it usually takes it about two weeks to start. Give yourself another week and a half if you have sign up for direct deposit. If you do it that way you still don't have to give notice because your last paycheck would be in your checking account. If you don't have direct deposit, then you could quit whenever you feel like it. I would still give my manager notice because you never know when you may need to return to that job again. I hoped I was helpful.

yes you should notifiy them if your leaving ahead of time like what the other guy said 1-2 days sometimes if the store is very slow then they might let you go right away and they MUST pay for the hours youve worked by law. my sister did this she worked idk a week and left because they made her do stupid things like wlak their dog or w.e and her job was at a wedding dress shop or like a dress shop for proms and stuff. it will probably come in the mail your check so yea. in a couple days after you left.
