will itunes delete all my songs and apps if i update it to 9?

i want to update my itunes to itunes 9 but im not sure if it will delete everything that is on my current itunes. help?

    no, only a stupid software manufacturer would do that.

    Updating to iTunes 9 is not only safe, but 100% necessary if you want your iTunes library to remain in top operating condition. Generally these sorts of updates tackle various bugs that were present on previous versions as well as make alterations to the overall efficiency of iTunes, so it's a good idea to keep it updated ; )

    No. when it happens to delete all the songs, you just can get it back easily by dragging the songs to the itunes.

    No, but it takes forever to import everything again after you download it, that is why I don't download the updates. They have a new one every freaking month and it takes 4 hours to import all 600 CD albums I have again. It automatically does it, but it takes forever.

    No it won't. Everything will be there when you update it.
