Drawing and sculptin is not haram, buuuut....drawing or sculpting anything That has a SOUL is haram. Anything else like flowers, patterns,(anything non living or without soul) is fine. The reason it's not acceptable is because it's as if you created soemthing living. Allah will ask you on the day of judgement to give this creation a soul, but you can't. Allah is the only creator, and you cannot be, so it would be disrespectful too, like you are comparing yourself with Allah. Also, animals too are not accepted.
