Just curious, but at what speed does the turbo kick in on the 286 hp evo 9 mr?

    it is not speed dependent. It is RPM dependent.

    your turbo is rpm relavent. It starts to spool at about 3000 and it will continue to accelerate boost until your wastegate opens, which is at about 13 psi.
