How to get a UK transit visa from Nigeria?
Hi, I need a little advice. My husband traveled from the U.S., and stopped in London (had to switch from Gatwick to Heathrow airport), then flew to Nigeria. Now, on his day of return flight to the U.S., the airport in Nigeria is not letting him leave because he does not have a transit visa for the UK (his return flight includes stopping in London and transferring from Heathrow airport to Gatwick airport, before departure to the U.S. I am still here in the U.S., but how can I help him to get a transit visa A.S.A.P. so that he can get home to us and his employment? Would the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria be able to help? And if so, what should I say or ask them?

NOLA is correct, if he is a US citizen he doesn't need a transit visa for the UK. Speak to an airline manager and if that doesnt work, call the US Embassy for assistance
