Travel to Croatia by car. When?

I plan to go from Vienna to Makarska. What about traffic jams In August? Which days of the week you recommend to go or not?

    August will be peak vacation time for Central Eurpe but if you drive on a tuesday / wednesday it should not be worse,.Don´t go on a weekend.

    Enjoy and have fun in Croatia.

    Best is to go on monday or tuesday, weekends are absolutely the worse. During July and August, the traffic jams are huge.
