Its a great idea that you want to go for PG to USA. There are couple of things that you should know and/or should have for taking admissions in USA. Firstly, there are no entrance exams in most of the universities of US or UK, however, you have to give english language exams like IELTS or TOFEL because our first language is not english. So, its mandatory to give such exams. Secondly, your admission would be conducted on the basis of the above mentioned exams and most importantly, you academic record i.e. you should have atleast 60% in your graduation. So these are the major admission requirements. There is age limit constraint for admission, which vary from university to university, an average age limit is 26. Overall my recommendation would be to get in touch with abroad education counselors like Chopras consultancy, what you do is type "study abroad consultants" in google for choosing relevant firms.

You might be able to find a US university that would accept you to do an Masters in an arts subject. There is someone here at Yale doing a History Masters whose undergraduate subject was Engineering. She may regret it as she is struggling massively. Her English is considerably better than yours. But you absolutely will not get a job that will allow you to stay in the US afterwards because there are no work permits available for arts grads.

First of all,you have to complete 16 years' schooling in India.Then you have to knock up a very good score in GRE and Toefl.Then only you can hope to be considered for admission to the good Universities.There is no age limit but all Universities wish to catch you young.

well alot of people get bachelors and masters in US who are foreigners so i see no reason why you shouldn't be able to get yours masters in the US since that most schools foreign to US seem to be better anyways
