your battery getting "dumb" when you using it while battery is insert and plugging in. it may damaged your battery. remove first the battery then plug i it, then use it. use that battery if go trips or somewhere else.

Are all your wires plugged in correctly? Are they in good condition? Computers are designed to charge automatically when on house current, so get your owners manual and look up the section on recharging. You don't say how old it is, and batteries can only be recharged a certain number of times before they "wear out". I suspect the true solution is a new replacement battery./

Maybe your laptop's battery is fully charged, or it's broken.

try the main switch - follow cable from laptop to wall :-))

if not this, it must be faulty charger.
