With a huge majorities in Congress for well over a year Obama was incapable of passing anything other than the stimulus and needed to use the auctionorama to pass health care reform just to get enough of his huge majority to go along. It ISN'T the Republicans standing in the way. It is the fact that he can't even convince his own party to go along with his nutjob policies. Republicans are powerless under the current makeup of Congress.
