Brad Mehldau does a great cover of Exit Music (for a film) by Radiohead, on the Art of Trio 4. Has to be one of my favourites.

George Benson covered The Beatles entire "Abbey Road" album only a few months after the original was released. "The Other Side of Abbey Road" is it's title. Did a great job.

probably somewhere over the rainbow by Art Tatum. Tatum was really a genius, it is amazing how he could turn a mundane movie song into a solo masterpiece.

Gotta love Trane, though.... I almost want to say My Favorite Things, Trane was equally a genius.

Sun Ra's cover of Lerner & Lowe's "I Could've Danced All Night". It's on his LP called Sound Sun Pleasure which is mosly covers of old standards.

Asking for a favourite song is a pretty inane question to ask.

However I really like the album "Rock Swings" by Paul Anka.
