Why are people so stereotypical about metal music?

In my opinion Metal takes more talent than any other music out there these guys look like there heads are about to explode on stage. No other music has as much energy in there shows and you don't need talent to talk fast and rhyme.

Dude, that's exactly what I say! My parents make me to go Jehovah's Witness meetings, and they tell me the same bull crap about Metal music. They need to at least look at a few heavy Metal songs themselves. Some talk about world governments, war, and love. Some even about God and His greatness! Yes, some are pretty crazy, though, so I always look through the lyrics if I don't know the artist.

Ignorance, and they don't take the time to listen to it. Also there are horrible metal bands like Death, and Cannibal Corpse that give the rest a bad name. Also screaming in their minds equates to killing, suicide, and the devil and all other evil things they can think of.

Because people are small minded and stupid. Idiots can't help themselves when they see a chance to single someone out because of their preferences in life. It's that same small minded attitude that gets gays murdered, races hated, and wars started.

I agree. It's not all satanic, and in all honestly I don't even think the devil exists. It's a free world, and everyone should not be told what to listen to. Whatever appeals to you, is what you should listen to!

people are stupid. metal has songs about that (but very little) but it doesnt encourage it.
