Can someone sell a manufactured home in a California trailer park WITHOUT a real estate license?
Someone we put a offer into is not a real estate agent (FOUND OUT AFTER). Is this legal? He is claiming he is selling thru the office and does not need a license. I never heard of this before.

There are many owners that sell their own homes, mobile homes, and land.
If you are the buyer you should insist that the seller use a licensed closing agent as well as a local title company.
These two companies will charge both you and the seller a fee, but you will be delivered a clean title by the title company. The escrow will insure that the state and other local laws are properly adhered to, thus making sure the transaction is legal.
Without the service of these two companies you are asking for trouble and may not legally own the property being sold.
Make sure that you add in your contract that the closing would have to be with a local escrow and title company.
I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.
