Any baseball fan agree with me on this statement?
Jimmie Foxx needs to have his number 3 retired by the Boston Red Sox. He was such a good player and he was one of the best right handed hitters of all time. He was such a fair and good guy that he deserves to have his number retired. How can they retire Joe Cronin and not Foxx?
Don't believe me?

Is there a address I can send a letter to the Red Sox about my statement?

You are absolutely correct. It is amazing that the Red Sox haven't retired hall of famer Jimmie Foxx's number, as he is one of the greatest of all time.
An equally valid point: Why don't the A's retire his number? He was with them for 10 years.

While I DO think they (or at least the A's, come on!) should retire No. 3 for Jimmie Foxx, the rule is 'HOFer AND 10 years of service with the Red Sox'. While they (honorably, IMO) waived the 'HOF' rule for Johnny Pesky (who is a lifetime Red Sox, for cryin' out loud), Foxx only spent 7 years with the Red Sox.
They still haven't changed that part (though I think they should).

Well, he spent more years with the A's however, he meets the requirement, he went into the Hall as a Red Sox so yes, his number should be retired by both the A's and Red sox. The Red Sox used to have the rule that you ahd to be a Hall of Famer who went into the Hall as a RS but they actually stopped doing that, leaving only two teams who still have that rule (Mariners and Giants)

More than one team can retire his number.
