can a Durango R/T beat a 1988 Mustang?

Hey there, I have a 2003 Dodge Durango R/T 5.9 and I keep telling my friend that I can beat his 1988 Ford Mustang LX 5.0. Is it possible that the Durango R/T can beat his car??? and if not anything i can do to make it beat his mustang with him knowing? my car is bone stock

    you,d loose that race even if he spotted you one car length,the durango won't come close to beating a mustang,especially a 5.0 mustang,he,s lighter in weight and also quicker on take off,good luck

    well i have a Friend who has a durango .. that would give the mustang all it could handle and then some it is powered by a v10 dodge viper engine .. and it screams..

    and yet here these little 3.8,3.4,3.1 v6 camaros,firebirds,mustangs tearing the **** out of these rams and dakotas.. i guess trucks suck
