Which American cell phone company, gives the best prepaid call rates?

I live in the UK and am going on vacation to California, but I want to buy a prepaid sim card to use in my phone over there. Which American phone company offers the best cell phone rates / deals?

They're all much the same. Please bare this in mind, in the USA you have to pay to receive calls (per minute) and you also pay to receive text messages. It's not like here in the UK where you pay nothing to receive calls or texts.

I'd recommend the $3 a day plan from AT&T where you get unlimted calling

I even have t-cellular pay as you go and pay $one hundred for 1000 minutes that don't expire for a 300 and sixty 5 days, and rollover in case you renew in the previous the expiration date. final time as quickly as I renewed, I had 1300 minutes that could final a 300 and sixty 5 days. you could pass to the t-cellular internet site, and consider the coverage in the areas the place you would be applying the telephone. If there are not any towers close to the place you would be applying the telephone, then pass with a various provider. you should purchase the telephone. I have been given one for $40, and by applying the time the taxes and all have been paid, it cost me approximately $a hundred and fifty for the 1st 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

I don't know if any companies over here offer prepaid SIM cards - I think you actually have to buy the phone itself (which can be as cheap as $20 or so), then buy airtime to use with it. I've had great experiences with Page Plus - http://www.pagepluscellular.com/

    Enjoy your trip!

It really depends on what kind of services you need and where you are located.

    I suggest checking out http://www.prepaidreviews.com/compare

That is a handy comparison tool that lets you stack up to 3 carriers against each other to see how their services measure up.

I am thinking StraightTalk or Net10 will be the best for you depending on where you are visiting..
