Why are my pictures so graniy?
i have an Hp and im trying to make a slide show for my desktop but when they show up on the screen VERY grainy and its only the ones i got off of facebook today. The pictures i got previously are mostly ok. The pics were very clear on facebook and in my picture folder.

Do you have a link for an example?
When you say grain, do you mean noise? If your iso was too high, or if the scene was too dark it could create noise. Check your camera to see if your settings got messed up.
Do you mean you downloaded them from someone else's facebook? If you did that without permission, that is copy right infringement. It could be pixalated because most people upload very small versions of their images, for this very specific purpose. Even though the pic looks normal sized on the screen, it is actually a very very very small file size, so much so that the actual picture is like a 1x1 inch square or something. (I upload all my pics at like 300 pixels on the longest size, and about 50 ppi, which puts a pic about wallet sized on the screen. But, to print that same pic, you would have to pull the ppi back up to about 300, which would give you 1 inch length on the longest side. Or, even printed at the 50 ppi, the image would appear very low quality.
