Hi!
Disney cruise is one of the best cruises to go on with kids! they will have a blast!
The kids, will be able to do their own thing. Your 2 year old can hang out at the
Nursery room and your 16 year old can hang out at The nightclub "The stack"
Disney's food is top of the line. I ate tons of ice cream. I think your kids are probably
excited so here are some things to look forward too:
1. There is all you can eat Pizza, fries, chicken strips burgers, ice cream, and more
all by the pool!
2. There is 3 pools for you guys. An all adult pool, with ocean view jacuzzis, A "goofy"
pool the is designed for families, and the "mickey" pool which has a water slide.
3. The shows are so nice and entertaining! Especially if you have girls.
4. You can order room service 24/7!!!! and it is included with what you payed.
5. If you want alone time the clubs are open nearly until midnight.
6. If you get a standard room its fits two people in the queen bed, on person on the
sofa bed, and one on the bed that pulls out of the roof.
7. the kids will make tons of friends. they can hang out with them on the
ship while you are relaxing! They have pager systems so that you know that they
are ok.
8. They have a movie theatre, you can watch movies!
9. There is a really huge flat screen t.v in front of the goofy pool!
10. If you are taking a cruise in the Caribbean, there is a "pirates IN the
caribbean" party!
*Disney cruise line staff is very accommodating on the ship. If your son
has any major special needs that need to be taken car of, the staff
will be sure to help.
*Your 2 year old girl will be in awe when you take her to the shows...
MAke sure you take her to one....Especially if she is into princesses
and the disney characters...
Take TONS of pictures! This will probably be your best
vacation yet! I took tons and scrapbooked them all. It was the
perfect way to remember the ship and all those fun times we
had!
Also, if you want to buy souvenirs, preferably Disney cruise
souvenirs from the gift shop, bring a little bit extra than the
usual....The items can be pretty pricy. Especially if you buy
candy if you are planning to watch the shows...
Have fun!

I've been on that cruise and it is truly great. You can expect to have the total Disney experience - a well organized, fun, relaxing, quality time. The Disney ships are gorgeous and have better cabins and facilities that most other cruise lines. Entertainment is fantastic, with several theatres that feature both movies and theatrical Disney musicals. If you are taking kids they will be absolutely mesmerized by all there is to do. If you will be going as a couple or in a group you will enjoy the adults only areas and restaurants on board. As for ports of call, they will be Nassau and Castaway Key, which is Disney's private Bahamian island. Both ports of call will have plenty of shore excursions, which your cruise director will tell you about during talks on board the ship. If you have the time, I would highly recommend doing the cruise/park combo package. You can spend four days on the cruise AND three days in the parks and really have something to remember forever! It's actually pretty reasonably priced, considering that it is an all inclusive vacation. I would start by going to the Disney Cruise Lines web site and requesting the info DVD. It outlines everything I've described and more. Hope you have fun!

Considering the people involved in your group, I would have suggested either Norwegian Epic or one of the Royal Caribbean ships, expecially the Freedom of the Seas or the Liberty of the Seas. These ships have ice skating, rock wall climbing and many other activities for kids of all ages as well as great activities and evening entertainment for adults. Prepare to spend a lot of money on the Disney ship as your daughter will need the whole Princess deal (gown, shoes, tiara, etc) to fit in at the Princess dinner. Yes, even at age 2. Most of what is offered to adults is also at an extra cost. It may be overwhelming for your son as the characters are everywhere and they come right up to you and give hugs which I know can be a problem for some autistics. There is little to do in the evening for adults. They have music in 3 different lounges, but they are often overrun with little kids who's parents don't control them. We even had a table of teens at the table next to ours having a food fight. The food and service is very good on Disney, but not worth the high price unless you are a total Disney fanatic.
