well, if his tail is skinny to and he dosnt poop then it sounds like its impacted, what i reccomend you do is get a small container of warm declorinated water to where the gecko can float but still touch the ground with his hind legs and pour some mineral oil in there, let him soak for like 2-5 minutes, thn go ahead and pour some mineral oil on your finger and rub his anal vent softly, also there are many pet store that sell reptiles that you can take him in and thy will look at him with the naked eye and will give u a guess which is better than nothing

It really all depends on what type of Gecko we are speaking of. You really don't give enough information to make an accurate call on this. Presuming its a Leopard Gecko I would suggest looking into the heat as this is the usual suspect when reptiles go off feed.
