Why would any sane person want to be president of the United States?

Think about it for a moment.



To apply for the job you have to spend a year traveling around the country begging for money.

During that time you might get 4-6 hours of sleep on an average night.

Any time not spent sleeping, is spent working - for which you do not get paid.


If you get the job, your salary is $400k a year - usually this is a giant pay cut for you.

You have to deal with all kinds of disasters.
You get hammered by the press.
You have people analyzing, dissecting and criticizing every single thing you do.
You get blamed for nearly everything that goes wrong in the country, whether it is your fault or not.

Being president of the United States has got to be one of the most stressful jobs in the world, and the compensation+perks hardly seem worth it.


So why do you think someone would want to be president?

Don't give me some crap about being a dedicated public servant and patriot, because that's a load of BS.

Many people want to be a dedicated public servant and patriot!  They want to help America stay a great country!  They love the limelight! It takes more than that to be president.  First, one usually is groomed by their parents and family.  You have to go to a prestigious elementary, middle and high school, college, and law school. One has to attend social events and summer camps starting in childhood, so you will associate with the right people.  You have to have a nice wife, family, and friends, and be well traveled.

Many start politics on a local level and work their way up.

I wouldn't mind that salary and traveling around the world- Just the retirement and healthcare the rest of your life!

i do no longer comprehend.. yet i think of all politicians start up desirous to be president in the returned of their concepts.. So it is a technique..the assumption of desirous to be president creeps up the extra you're in touch with politics or some chief kind artwork
