But most 'consolidation loans' are SECURED (on your house) .. after all, why should some lender take on your existing debt that you are plainly having trouble meeting payments unless they get some security ?

PS you are correct about the vast majority of web based 'lenders' = they have NO money to lend (they don't even have a Consumer Credit License) and exist ONLY to SCAM fees out of the poor dumb, naive or unwary ..

My credit rating isn't great but I don't have enough debt to apply for an IVA. I desperately need to consolidate my existing payments into a lower monthly payment... I have a decent, secure monthly wage and understand that any loan I take on will have a higher than normal APR...In short I've searched all over the internet and although many companies promise a 'bad credit unsecured loan' all the sites seem to just collect details to then pass onto other lenders... Does anyone know of any genuine loan companies that I might be eligible & where I can apply to them directly?

There really some good debt consolidation companies you can contact them and talk with them personally i hope that can really sort out your problem but i have a query as well as suggestion to you that its better to take secured loan as they have lower interest rate as well as loan provider also feel more safe so if you have decent, secured monthly wages then its better to go for secured loan then unsecured one.You can also contact the source link firm for any assistance.
