can I use 134a for my 04 chevy?
I want charge my trucks a/c but not sure what type of reffrigerant it uses

I believe Chevrolet didn't begin using R134 until the 1995 model year. Your car probably uses R12 if nobody converted it to R134. Its easy to tell which one your car uses by looking at the connectors in the high and low pressure lines. R12 cars have screw on connectors. R134 cars have bayonet (snap on) fittings.
R12 is going for more than $100 a pound these days. If you have R12 it will be cheaper to convert to R134. It's an easy changeover.

yeah in 04 chevy it is 134 a. If you are never sure its under the hood and will tell if it is 134a or r12

'04 came stock with 134A, in fact all cars 1994 (maybe '95) and newer came stock with 134A
