Is Taniela Tuiaki's NRL career over?

According to a Fox Sports, the Tigers and other rival clubs are reluctant to sign Taniela to a contract because his broken ankle is not mending correctly.

I sincerely hope this is not the case because of all the talent that would be wasted. From what I have read about Taniela, he is an outstanding young man and teammate.

Unfortunately it doesn't look good for him. If he was younger the Tigers or any other club wouldn't hesitate to sign him but its pretty obvious that he isn't recovering well. These sorts of injuries will hold back players finding their best form for over a year or two and clubs dont have the time to wait, especially when its a player who's so late into their career. At best a club (NRL or SL) might offer him a minimum-wage contract and hope for a miracle that he recovers sooner than later but its unlikely.

Very sad for Tuiaki since he was at his very best when it happened, hopefully for his sake something positive comes out of all this.

i actually was watching them train the other day with a couple of mates, and he was just walking around speaking with a couple of guys, after the finished i went up to him and asked him if he will be back he said mate its not looking to good for me, so nuh i dont think he will be back this season. But his career is not over.
