y < -3x + 3

y < x + 2

a.(1, -5)

    I think the easiest way to do this, is just to substitute the coordinates into the two inequalities and see if they satisfy both.

    so for a. (1,-5)

    first inequality, we get: -5 < -3+3=0

    -5<0 which is true

    second inequality, we get -5 < 3 which is also true.

    So point a. lies in the solution set.

    Similarly for the rest.
