Looking for the name of a swiss cheese I tried while in germany?
Ok, I was in Germany, and I tried a cheese that was recommended to me a man at a store. He said it was made in the swiss alps. It had a grey/slate colored rind --I'm pretty sure. Now I am about to butcher this, but I think that he called the cheese Iberstitzen, or Iben maybe. I cannot find it online, because I'm sure I have the name at least slightly wrong. This could also be a company name, who knows. Please help, it was very good cheese.

Hope that helps you out, the most famous one though is gruyere from Switzerland but I can not think of any with that name or spelling.
There is one french one I can think of made in the french alps Tomme de Savoie and that has a bluey grey rind.
there is a company called iber conseil who supply cheeses but none with that description.
I hope the list there makes a bit easier to maybe find the one you are looking for.
