Can you change the text message tone to a song on the new Samsung Acclaim r880 Android?
I know you can set your calls to one but I cant figure out the notifications. Help??? Is it even possible?
When i get to notification ringtone it only shows the ones that came with the phone. Theres not even a vibrate setting for anything other than a phone call.

Yes, you can change the message tone.
Go to "Settings"
Go to "Sound & Display"
There should be "Notification Ringtone" or Notification Alerts or something. I'm sure each manufacturer words things a little different.
The app "Ringdroid" is good for editing the song so you only get the part you want played. I've created a bunch of Ringtones for my G1 with it.
