Selah...do you like it? How would you pronounce it?

It's a name for a GIRL. Hopefully that's obvious.

Also, what middle names go nicely with it? Last name is 3 syllables and begins with "S".

Update:

BTW, I do know how to pronounce it. I'm just curious how other might pronounce it if they've never heard it before.

I would say it like See-La and I don't like it very much. The H at the end looks superflous. Sela looks much nicer but I prefer something more like Cecilia would sounds and looks much nicer.

Without having heard it before I would be torn between pronouncing it SEE-la and SAY-la. I havent looked it up, but I'm hoping the correct pronunciation is SAY-la because it's very pretty that way.

However, paring Selah with a three syllable last name that starts with S doesn't seem like the best idea. Something of a tongue twister, and the poor child if they have a lisp!

Oh wow that's really pretty! I pronounce it like (See-La). Like the actress Sela Ward.

I think Selah Elizabeth or Selah Grace sound nice!
