Ramadan: When someone is doing something wrong?
Is it better to confront someone directly about what you think they are doing wrong publicly, or talk to them in private and make dua for them?
I'm talking about anyone who is doing something wrong. Of course Denver is included in this, but this question isn't about him.

Asalamualeikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuho
May Allah swt keep you safe and guarded. Ameen
Dear asker,
Of course you and I both know that privately and making duah about the situation is the most Islamic way to resolve it.
Not through back biting or bickering and gossip.
Many Muslims forget this at times. Thanks for the reminder.
Jazak Allah Khair!

Privately because confronting in public might bother the person and in islam you have a punishment for that, plus in private shows the person that you are truely doing it to help that person not show off infront of others about how "good" you are... :)

Privately is better because we are avoiding publicly embarrassing them.
Sometimes people are making a genuine mistake and every one of us does that.

It is in Islam that you should talk to him privately and not publicly. Even if you are doing ha ram you should not show it, hide it.

You could try doing it publicly, but then again that could completely backfire and you'd end up being the one embarrassed for trying.

Are you talking about denver?
If you are talking about denver; i have talked to him in private and tried to help but he insulted nabi (saw).
Well still in private; but with this situation with him he has really gone too far.

in private
cause that way u will not hurt his/her feelings
and of course make a dua for him/her

It really depends upon the situation. Ask Allah what to do and then do it.
