For an inexpensive reciever take a look at the Sherwood RD 6513 and for speakers either the jamo S413 5.1 speakers or the Dayton HTP -1 either way you will get really good sound...for the price...

You will need a receiver and speakers to connect your blu ray disc player on to get the surround sound. Since you have the blu ray disc player already, the set up that might be good for you is the Onkyo HT-S5200. It is a separate receiver and a set of 7.1 speaker system. It is available at any Fry's Electronic store. Home theater in a box are systems with a DVD or a Blu ray disc player included. The only problem I do not like about them is when one item fails the whole system is done. Bargain price system you find at Wal mart or Target do not last. Hope this will help you out.
