I don't know how bad it is but usually you need some antibiotic eyedrops. The eye is so important.
Maybe try warm compresses. It usually is very contaigous so make sure if it is leaking that you dab it with tissue and throw the tissue away immediately - not to spread it to anyone else or the other eye.
You'll probably have to eventually make it to the doctor - maybe you can go to a free clinic somewhere.

make sure your not rubbing it. Also could wet a cotton pad with warm water and gently clean it.
