peripheral nervous system comprises of nerves arising from brain n spinal cord [12 pairs of cranial nerves n 31 pairs of spinal nerves].

these nerves end into either a muscle, gland or sensory organ.

from sensory organs nerve will carry stimulus to CNS [brain or spinal cord]. it will be analysed by CNS n accordingly response will be sent to respective gland or muscle which will either Secret or contract accordingly.
