The Bible does not name homosexuality an abomination, it calls having intercourse with male temple prostitutes (a train of the religions of alternative gods) an abomination. The sin is having different gods earlier than Yahweh. Nowhere does both testomony condemn the state of being homosexual. But I love the Christian copout that it isn't Leviticus they are following, however passages from the New Testament. The NT prohibitions are grounded in Leviticus, in order that ARE condemning homosexuality founded on a false impression of Leviticus, then ignoring the opposite greater than six hundred commandments that they do not like. Bur, considering Christianity in these days is Salad Bar Christianity (even Catholicism - simply appear on the new "sins" that the Pope invented), what else can any individual anticipate. The Bible is not a booklet to reside by way of, it is a booklet used to justify doing what humans desire to do.

Do you know what "witch hunt" means? A witch hunt is the act of hunting people who are not actually damaging anyone, yet who are disfavored. You cannot engage in a witch hunt against people who are ACTUALLY harming others. You cannot have a witch hunt against murderers. Or against rapists. Or against terrorists. Or against pedophiles. So comparing the witch hunt against gays to a "witch hunt" against pedophiles is ludicrous. You are suggesting that those who go after people who rape and abuse children are doing so out of animus, and not concern for the children who are being damaged.

Homosexuality doesn't harm anyone, no more than heterosexuality does. I find it extremely alarming to see that you believe raping children is better than two adults of the same sex being together because if you rape a child, pregnancy might occur. This is extremely sick and twisted.

In terms of psychology, homosexuality is NOT labeled as a mental illness. If you are reading a psych book which says this, it must have been published before any study was done on the nature of homosexuality. The book probably still suggests the "rest cure" for postpartum depression if it is that old. Science advances, and makes new discoveries. Try to keep up with it, please.

Finally, homosexuality is not a "sexual preference". No more than race is a "color preference". This term is meaningless, and the accurate term is sexual orientation.

Homosexuality is between two consenting adults, and affects no one but those two consenting adults, except for some overly controlling conservatives who are entirely too obsessed with the goings ons in other people's bedrooms.

Pedophilia takes advantage of a child too young to understand consent or sexuality. It hurts the child, resulting in emotional as well as sexual abuse. It hurts the child's family in a way you could not possibly imagine.

So you don't jump on that bigot bandwagon later on, statistically most sexual crimes against children are perpetrated by God fearing, normal heterosexuals like yourself.

Pedophilia is rape. Homosexuality is between two consenting adults.

Love and relationships are not about procreation. With that logic, relationships between old people or infertile people are also wrong.
