Does anyone else think high auto insurance rates, high auto repair costs is making car ownership miserable?

The cost of convenience is always high. With your own car, you can go to wherever you want, whenever you want, stay as long as you want and come home whenever you want.

With public transportation, you must be more flexible and be able to travel on THEIR schedule.

Competition helps to keep some of the prices in check. If I were a baker by trade, and if I could get $5.00 for a loaf of bread, I would charge $5,00 for that loaf of bread even though it may cost me only $0.75 to make it. Competition keeps me from doing that. But if I can get away with it, you can be sure other bakers will start charging $5.00 for a loaf of bread. Think it can't happen? Look at the airline industry. All it took was one airline to start charging for extras. They all followed suit when the saw the one airline getting away with the extra charges and making BIG money on something that really costs them almost nothing.

So insurance companies, repair shops, parts stores and others charge as a minimum, what it costs them. But you can be sure they will charge as much as they think they can get away with.

It's called Free Market or Free Enterprise.

it is not real. i've got insured 5 automobiles, under no circumstances as quickly as been asked the colour. Granted they pulled up the VIN# which has the colour, yet even nonetheless, i've got go-shopped a pink motor vehicle with a black one and there became no difference in any respect. they're going to hit you confusing considering you reside in a foul community, however, or considering you're below 25.

High insurance rates r meant 2 rip us off. The governemnt gets a share from our insurance companies too believe it or not.
