Would this relationship become illegal?
Okay, so I have this AMAZING boyfriend who I love to death, and we both live in the U.S. The only problem we have it with our age. You see, right now I'm 14 and he's 16. he turns 17 in September, and I 15 in December. What I'm concerned about is the year that follows. When he turns 18 and I'm 15, will this relationship be considered "illegal" and possibly list him as a sex offender? I don't want anything bad to happen to him, I love him so much. D-: If it IS really going to list him as a sex offender, is there a way to prevent that from happening? My family loves him to death so it's not like they'd report him, but still... Help me out here! Thanks, much love! <3

All states restrict SEXUAL relationships between a minor and an adult.
However, most states allow an exception of three years. If you are within 3 years of age, then sexual relationships between the couple is not going to be considered statutory rape.
And remember... this only applies to SEX. Not making out or going out.

Your relationship would not be illegal. If he is having sex with you then that would be illegal. The way to make it "not happen" is to not have sex.

Depends on the state you live in ... look up your local laws.
