I bought a used car and it has a subwoofer in the trunk, it won't work and makes a popping sound when shut off?
All the fuses are fine, I have the subwoofer option turned on on the stereo, not really sure what else to check. When I shut off the car it makes a pop or thud noise. Any help s appreciated. I'm pretty sure its from walmart its a 600w Pyle, I don't know anything about car audio.

Try hooking them up to another amp and stuff and see if the subs might be blown...other then that im not sure.

The thud you are hearing is probably interference coming through the rca wires. My advice to you, if you have no clue about car stereos, is to get someone who does to take a look. To be honest with you, no loss no gain with that pyle subwoofer. They are garbage, and can be had for like $29.99.
