I know one rider who was charged. He was fined $5,000 and lost his license for six months. That is the usual minimum, but one can be fined up to $10,000 and receive a year's suspension. The bike is also impounded.

Anyone who has such a conviction on their driving record will also be looking a future insurance costs similar to those who have been convicted of impaired driving.

Stunt driving on public streets is just plain dumb, and should be restricted to private venues. I think Ontario has it right, and yes I do know someone who was charged with it, for doing a wheelie on a public street, and I believe he lost his license. Sorry for calling like it is, but being a "Squid" usually results in injury or death, and pain and sorrow for the family(s) involved. Bottom line, don't do it.

Its called reckless driving, endangerment, inattention to driving, and illegal use of a motor vehicle. You'll lose your driving privileges, bike will be impounded, and possibly get jail time.....DEFINITELY get some heavy fines.
