well you should probably look at the manual there should be a disassemble manual to help you get through this. i personally can give you a few tips as a technician. tips one have patience dont strip the screws be careful. keep similar screws in piles or mark where they went on a piece of paper and set it on that. dont unplug wires unless you noted where they go and how they plug in before hand. be gentle and very careful with the screen.

Hello, I really dont think so, you should be worried, I work for Apple computers, and we get lots of similar calls. Most of the time, people have this sort of problem due to entering some extra digits or entering letter "O" instead of entering zero etc. Just to validate the serial number, I collected the follwing information from the Bell Packard: Where is the serial number on my system? Situation Where can I find the serial number of my system? Solution You can find the serial number of your system on the back of the computer's base unit (the monitor has a different serial number!). The serial number is written on a label and starts with S/N. You can also find the serial number mentioned on the System Credentials form, shipped with your computer. In the event that you cannot determine the serial number of your system, you can download from our web site Serial number detection utility 1.0 (REFFIUP04410100). This utility will retrieve the serial number of your system. If that utility does not work, then the best idea would be to cal lBell Packard for help or contact the retailer. Good luck!
