NWA was the hardest, The Wu had the best collective of rappers (Raekwon, GZA, and Ghostface), and Run-DMC was the first huge rap group.

Wu-when you consider their body of work as a group and solo(20 gold and platinum records), longevity and straight lyricism there is no way you can't consider them the greatest hip hop group ever. Yes Run DMC was the most influential and NWA changed hip hop forever but all things considered Wu wins hands down.
