fact is, if children were mature and only used them for emergencies and actually focused on school, teachers would be able to trust them with a responsibility and let them keep it, but because they are immature, they abuse their rights by using the phone during class and letting it interrupt them during their school day. they have lower grades and are more focused on socializing that learning.

Parents find it inconvenient to not let their children carry a phone in school because they need to be able to contact them at any time of day because, parents do get worried. So teachers instead let them keep is even thought it shouldn't be allowed and only let them keep it when it is hidden and not seen, turned off, and not in use during school hours, until after school.

I think it would be a good idea to compare phone use in high school vs college phone use during school hours to see how people who are younger compared to more mature people handle their responsibilities of using a phone and whether or not professors in college are more liberal at the idea of phone possession because of students responsibility. =]]

well i suck at this stuff, but make sure it rhymes. or its catchy, something thatll stay in ppls heads. either way, its retarded that we cant use phones in school... like, okay, i'll text some friends in lunch or study hall and sometimes in science when we do nothing. so why are they just automatically assuming we're sexting and ignoring their teaching or some crap? wtf?
