Which Type of Music Fan Is Worse?

Sure, I'll go with myself. The indie fan.

Creativity and originality are perceived differently from person to person.

I'm sure some people think that Genesis is a shameless rip off of King Crimson, but I don't.

I'd say they single-handedly brought theatricality to rock music, and became the most influential prog band of all time in doing it.

But that's beside the point, isn't it?

I mean, you've gotta be a fan of something, though, don't you? Sure, the indie hipsters (I know plenty of them) never shut up about their superior taste in music, and fans of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones never shut up about their imitators, but...you see, I don't know where I'm going with this.

ACTUALLY, the most annoying fan of all is the classic rock fanboy, but we've already discussed that....

BA: Wanted by who? By what? By where? I've been on Yahoo! Answers a lot lately. Is that a good enough answer?

BA2: Probably that first one you mentioned.

BA3: Nothing.

I think it's cool to be a fan of any music--a great thing.

I love Kings of Leon. I think they have tremendous talent, and love pretty much everything they've put out. So who is anyone to tell me that they -aren't- great? Music is subjective, so a fan should be allowed to gush about whatever band or artist they happen to be infatuated with at the moment without anyone else completely undermining that. Of course it's okay to disagree--but the worst kind of fan of all are those that love their own music so much, that they become convinced that it's the -only- music anyone should ever listen to, so they leave comments like "Why do you listen to that indie sh*t?? METAL ALL THE WAY!" Or "How the f*ck can you listen to all that screaming? It sounds like two cats getting run over while doing it!!"

Those are the worst fans.

BA: About to begin grad school. The closest I've ever come to being arrested was for underage drinking in a strip club :P

I mean at least the second one has a reason to claim others steal their sound.

The first option is just annoying. They, on the other hand, have no reason to call whatever band they listen to original.

BQ2: I'm another one of those annoying music fans. I try to listen to "different" bands, claim some of them ARE "different", yet they're more or less on the mainstream side. How dare you insult indie fans! D:< Nah, jk. I don't really care.

The fan that looks down on and criticises people who are into their type of music.

BQ: Not much

BQ2: Im a fan that listens to all types of music and a fan that doesn't care what type of music anyone else listens to and how original their taste is

BQ3: Nothing, Im watching Greys Anatomy.

Vampire Weekend are unoriginal. They're practically four different people who are all Paul Simon in flannel and the only one who's even remotely talented on his instrument is the bassist. And Ezra Koenig is frequently out of tune.

They're still the best new band of last decade and their debut album is in the top 3 of all time.

Do you like me better than "The fans that refuse to admit that their favorite band is indeed unoriginal, and never shut up about their so called talent?"
