Is it possible to get arrested for being on TOO much caffeine in the US? Or to get like a DUI/DWI?
Just curious.
Really? Because there is such a thing as caffeine intoxication, which can make a person appear as though he is on some sort of narcotic stimulant.
Well I know there is Driving Under The Influence, also known as driving while intoxicated.

That would depend on the situation. Two years ago I was driving back to Arizona with a few friends, they were all sleeping and I needed to stop off at the local gas station in Prescott, Az. Well I got off the exit ramp and there was this no U-turn sign so I kept going until I could and ended up getting lost. I then was pulled over, because, according to the officer he thought I had been drinking. I hadn't, but I had had a lot of caffeine that day and I was kind of tired. He was nice enough, not rude, just doing his job. After he let me go, he escorted me to the gas station.
I saw the officer leave the gas station and got to see him do an amazing jump over a gore point to pull over a guy you have made the U-turn at the place I passe up.
So, to answer your question, if the caffeine is impairing your judgment, then yes you can.
Remember, caffeine is a drug. A drug is anything that alters normal bodily function.

I'm pretty sure that you can be arrested and charged if you are driving while impaired in any way. So, while caffeine is not a controlled substance, if it has impaired your ability to safely operate a vehicle on a public roadway, they might, conceivably be able to make it stick. I believe a law enforcement officer has probable cause to take you into custody if there is a reasonable belief that you are driving while impaired. My sense is that they probably would detain you and then drop the charges later. Nevertheless you are taken off the road for the night (or day or whatever) and they've accomplished their duty to make the roads safer. (disclaimer: I'm not an attorney. This is just my opinion based on my association with a lot of law enforcement workers.)

there is such a thing as water intoxication also, but you would not expect to get arrested for a drink of water.
I am no expert in US law - I live in the UK - but I imagine if you were driving and clearly incapable (through excess caffeine, water, or any other substance) then you could probably be charged with something, even though there is not a specific law against using that substance, there is probably a law about you need to be in control when driving a car.

definite you may, in spite of the state. utilising impaired incorporates any substance which could impair your skill to force, no longer purely the extensive-unfold suspects (i.e. alcohol, troublesome drugs, etc). remember the quantity of caffeine necessary to impair your motor skills adequate to electrify your utilising may be close to a similar volume to set off a coronary heart attack. Impairment from chilly medicine is greater of a topic than caffeine.

Unless you injected pure caffeine into your system so you were clearly off the wall, being hopped up on a coffee jag would not be a criminal offense.

If it is clearly affecting your judgement and behavior and presents a danger to yourself or others, yes.
